Main Article Content
Abstract
The work carries out an analysis through scientometry in the research methodology section in the theses of Computer Engineering and Systems of the Micaela Bastidas de Apurímac National University located in the Andes region of Peru. The proposed objectives were to know the type, level, design, sample and technique of the investigations most used in the theses to choose the professional title of Ing. Informatics and Systems, the technique was the collection of data from the university repository having 46 theses for its analysis, having the results: After analyzing the information, it is concluded that the type of applied research is the most predominant, with 84.8%, and 58.5% see the preference of the level of explanatory research, regarding research design, the quasi-experimental approach is the most widely used with 50%, while the non-probability sampling is the most outstanding method with 71.1%. In addition, the most widely used data collection technique is the 29.5% survey. It should be noted that all the theses analyzed correspond to quantitative research, without a record of qualitative research, which represents a 100% quantitative approach.
