Comparative Analysis of Programming Languages: Python vs. Java in Web Application Development

Abstract

The work was to carry out a comparative analysis of Programming Languages. Python vs Java in Web Application Development (Glob-al), the objective is to identify and analyze the key differences between Python and Java in the context of web application development. In addition, the performance of Python and Java will be compared in terms of efficiency and speed of execution, to determine which is more suitable in different web application development scenarios. The content analysis technique of various official websites, documentation, theses and academic articles on Python and Java was used to identify their characteristics and functionalities. This approach allowed an exhaustive comparative analysis between both languages and as a result of this study it was obtained that Python is ideal for agile projects and data science due to its ease of use, fast implementation and frameworks such as Django. Java, more complex, stands out in business applications for its efficiency, better thread management and greater scalability with frameworks such as Spring, offering better perfor-mance in high load web applications. Both languages adapt to different types of projects depending on speed and performance require-ments.
